SMS Grading Policy

• Grades will be updated on a weekly basis.
• Graded assignments will reflect progress towards proficiency/mastery of standards.
• There will be a minimum of three summatives, of equal value, per quarter.
• There will be a minimum of three formatives for each summative.
• All assignments will be out of 100 points.
• Teachers will allow at least one opportunity for the retake of a summative per quarter.
  • Teachers will communicate the window and requirements for the re-take with students.
• Students who are absent will receive one day, per day absent, to complete make-up work.
